The studio, Marquette, and other items of interest

Hey everyone-

A couple updates for you all…

We just wrapped up the recording of 5 new songs at Smart Studios in Madison last week. We produced the songs on our own, and I think I can speak for all of us in saying we’re really proud of how they turned out. You can judge for yourself soon enough though — we’re aiming to have them mixed and ready for their online unveiling by the end of the year, so keep checking the website and myspace to hear the newest tunes. And before I move on, a big thanks to Mike, Justin, Beau, and everyone else over at Smart.

In the midst of our recording escapades last week, we had a chance to visit Suzanne and Kelly at the Marquette radio station for an interview. A big thank you to them for for having us on! And later that night, we played a show at the Marquette University Sports Annex to an “intimate” crowd. Thanks to everyone who came by!

One last bit of news… I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the syndicated public radio program “Day by Day,” but recently the show has been getting some spins. So, if you find yourself listening to NPR and you hear “Day by Day,” give it a listen because we might be on there. And if you haven’t checked out the offer from the World Cafe on the home page of our website, you should do that and consider supporting your local public radio station!
