This Weekend In Rock History…This past weekend (April 21-22) proved to be a fruitful one for those rock and roll heroes of the American Midwest, The Good Luck Joes. It started with a 9:30 am Friday interview on Milwaukee 102.1’s morning show with Kramp & Adler. Following a quick interview, “Middle of Me” made it’s highly anticipated radio debut. Many thanks to Kramp & Adler for inviting us into the studio, and being such great supporters of the GLJs along with all other local bands. Friday night the band made it’s first trip to Points East Pub’s newly renovated stage with a high-octane set including a rousing encore edition of the old standard “Work Out.” Saturday provided an interesting change of pace as the band made it’s way to The Highbury in Bayview, WI for a couple of rare acoustic sets. The packed house was treated to an opening tune by the power-group Superdad (check out their myspace account here). Sunday night Milwaukee 102.1’s the scene with Ryan Miller re-played Friday morning’s interview for all of the fans that had a rough night on Thursday and missed the early radio spot. We’d like to thank everyone at 102.1, Points East Pub, The Highbury, Rich Rees, and everyone else that helped make this weekend such a success. Leave a Reply |
